Absolutely! If you’re a rookie to the slopes, don’t fret, as there are many bunny hills and resources to make for a fun day on the mountain. You can reserve a private lesson with skiing experts so you can get the feel for the movement before you head down the mountain.
There are also ski rentals for guests who don’t have all (or any) of the equipment necessary.
There’s nothing quite like cruising down the fluff-covered hills with a ceiling of stars above you. Twilight Skiing takes place in the Gore Mountain Ski Bowl.
It’s affordable (if a little limited compared to the full skiing experience), but it’s a lot of fun.
Lake George is usually a popular attraction during the summer, but it’s a winter wonderland in January. Ice fishing trips at this massive Lake are incredibly popular, and the season lasts for a while because of the colder temperatures in the Adirondacks. Pack the necessary ice fishing equipment. If you miss something, there are several bait shops nearby.
Lake George is fully landlocked, so don’t be expecting any sea creatures here. Yellow Perch, Trout, Salmon, and Smelt are commonly caught here.
